This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. Ask the issuing court about its order and the Sheriff's Office about county custody or service information.
Need an Official Wharton County Record?
Use the office that created or holds the record. The Sheriff publishes contact and custody resources, but the reviewed county sources do not provide a public active-warrant search or a separately listed warrant-unit counter schedule.
- County custody or service: Wharton County Sheriff's Office, 979-532-1550. Sheriff Shannon Srubar's office publishes custody and bond resources; call to confirm the correct channel.
- District-court case: District Clerk Kendra Charbula, 103 S. Fulton Street, 979-532-5542. The county has two district courts; identify the cause number if available.
- County-court case: Wharton County Court, 979-532-4612. Ask which clerk handles the case and whether a court setting or order is pending.
- JP citation or missed appearance: contact the precinct printed on the ticket. The four JP clerk numbers are 979-532-3941, 979-335-6210, 979-648-2363, and 979-543-4322.
- City citation: contact the issuing municipal court. Wharton is 979-532-4811 ext. 532/533; El Campo is 979-543-1212; East Bernard is 979-335-6558.
For district criminal filings, the County Clerk Barbara Svatek is listed at 309 E. Milam Street, Suite 700, phone 979-532-2381. Clerk responsibilities are divided by case type, so confirm the proper counter before visiting. Published contacts may change; call to verify current hours and accepted documents.
For records held by the City of Wharton, submit a defined public-information request through its City Secretary. El Campo also publishes a city request form. A request can seek an existing record, but an agency may apply statutory exceptions and need not create a new warrant list.
